Tom Schueman is the founder and president of Patrol Base Abbate, a nonprofit with a mission to reduce veteran suicide. A career Marine officer and academic, he spent the last two decades in the classroom and on the battlefield. He taught literature at the United States Naval Academy and served as a Stanford Fellow, where his research centered on counter-terrorism.
