Sam Spencer was born and raised in Orange County, California. His political career began managing political campaigns throughout the Golden State, from state legislative to congressional campaigns. Currently, Sam serves as the Political Director for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, where he advises the Speaker on his national political operation. Sam previously worked for the NRCC as the Western Regional Political Director in the 2022 election cycle and as the California State Director during the 2020 cycle. Over the last two election cycles, Sam flipped multiple seats from Democratic to Republican, including five in California, a historic feat that hasn’t been done in decades. Prior to the NRCC, Sam served as a Chief of Staff in the California State legislature.
