Roger Shafer is Director of Capital Markets for Aspen Heights Partners, a national student housing, multifamily, and build-for-rent developer, responsible for debt and equity financing. Before joining Aspen Heights he was an Associate in the Capital Markets group at Harwood International, and a Financial Analyst in the Capital Markets group at Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to Cushman, he was a Senior Investment Associate in the Wealth Advisory practice at The Northern Trust Company serving ultra-high net worth investors. Roger began his career at Stephens Inc. in the Private Client Group.

He has served as Senior Advisor to Dallas County Young Republicans since 2023. From 2019 to 2023 Roger served as Director of Programming. Since his involvement Dallas County Young Republicans has grown into the largest, most active Young Republicans chapter in the State of Texas, and one of the largest Young Republicans chapters in the entire country. With over 1,000 dues-paying members, DYR is a dynamic, rapidly-growing group of young people committed to effecting real, conservative change in the community.

Roger received his BSBA in Financial Management & Investments from the Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of the student managed Arvest Bank Fund, and Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Roger serves on the University of Texas McCombs Real Estate Center Associate Council, and First Tee of Greater Dallas Scholarship Committee. He was selected for the TREC Associate Leadership Council Class of 2022, and is a member of Stewards of the Wild.
