Nikki Whiting
Nikki Whiting is the Assistant Vice President of Communications at Miami Dade College, where she serves as the primary spokesperson and supports strategic communication efforts. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of Communications for Governor Ron DeSantis, focusing on health and human services messaging. Her extensive experience in state government includes serving as Director of Communications at the Florida Department of Health and as Senior Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez.
Prior to her tenure in Tallahassee, she was the Director of Communications for former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo. Whiting began her public service career in the office of former U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, serving as Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant in Washington, D.C.
A Miami native of Cuban descent, Nikki holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Miami.
