A proud graduate of Mission High School, where she excelled in competitive sports, theater and DECA. Karen attended South Texas College while working in her family's sign business. Her early career was marked by an impressive stint as a campaign manager for two election cycles, where she played a pivotal role in flipping a historically Democratic district for the first time in 118 years.

Her deep roots in the community and commitment to public service are evident through her involvement with The Family Church, where she has been a member since 2019 and volunteered as a digital moderator in 2021. Currently, Karen splits her time between Texas and Washington, D.C., as she works tirelessly to secure re-election for Congresswoman De La Cruz.

Her strategic leadership has been instrumental in passing five key pieces of legislation, reflecting her dedication to advancing policies that benefit her community.

A native of McAllen, Karen’s blend of campaign savvy, legislative experience, and strong local ties make her an invaluable asset to the Congresswoman’s team, ensuring that the needs of South Texans are effectively represented at the national level.
