George Nassar is a Partner at Public Opinion Strategies, one of America’s largest and most respected public opinion research firms. Throughout his career, George has helped guide winning U.S. Senate, U.S. House, gubernatorial, and state legislative campaigns across the country. Since joining the firm in the 2018 cycle, George has helped flip over a dozen seats from Democratic to Republican.
In the 2022 cycle, George played a central role in the Republican takeover of the U.S. House. Working on behalf of campaigns, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and Congressional Leadership Fund, George worked to elect 13 members of Congress. This includes helping to re-elect multiple incumbents in Biden districts, flipping five seats from Democratic to Republican, and electing seven new members of Congress. Some of George’s campaign wins include Congressman-elect Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), Congressman-elect Kevin Kiley (CA-03), Congresswoman Young Kim (CA-40) and Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48).
George has led numerous in-person and online focus groups and ad tests to help better understand key constituencies and what messaging drives their decisions. In the 2022 cycle, George led the research efforts for a center-right group dedicated to better understanding suburban voters. Through his work, George identified key issues and ways to message conservative policies to bring these voters back to the Republican Party.
In addition to his political work, George has been involved in public affairs efforts in the health care, energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. He was part of the polling team that helped pass the landmark USMCA trade deal.
Prior to joining Public Opinion Strategies, George worked at the NRCC where he served as a Regional Political Director in the 2014 and 2016 cycles. At the NRCC, George led a team of operatives advising incumbent and challenger campaigns across 18 states in the Southeast and in the West.
George also was campaign manager for both a statewide race in Mississippi and a top targeted race in Virginia. He is a RIVA‐trained focus group moderator. George is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Mississippi. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Megan.
