Kellen Curry, Class of 2023
About Kellen
I am a third generation veteran and the son of public servants who both worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, my hometown. Their example was foundational to my own desire for public service. I was fortunate to attend the Air Force Academy and then served eight years in the Air Force where I purchased cyber security weapons systems. I continue to serve in the Air Force Reserves.
After completing my second tour of duty in Afghanistan I decided to leave active service and attended business school which led me to J.P. Morgan's Investment Bank in New York City in 2018. After watching the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and then learning about the lies of George Santos I knew it was time to leave Wall Street and pursue public office because our veterans and the American people deserve honest leadership.
Future Plans
I intend to be the next Congressman from New York's 3rd Congressional District in 2024. We have won the support of Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX), former Congressmen Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ), Lamar Smith (TX), Phil English (PA), John Shimkus (IL), HHS Sec Tom Price (GA), Senator Don Nickles (OK), Congressman Steve Largent (OK), Ambassador Kenneth Juster, and many more. I'm the only person who can build the diverse coalition of voters needed to win this majority-maker seat. Lastly, we have raised the most in total contributions, and are the leading republican campaign in the race.
What makes Future 40 so special?
The network of support I've benefited from as a Future40 recipient is not only special but will continue to build on itself as this year's cohort reaches its fullest potential. I am just humbled to be a part of it and I'm excited about making a meaningful contribution as I go along.
What you enjoy about Maverick PAC or Mavericks Conference the most?
Meeting the Future40 recipients in person was the highlight…a selfie with Chairwoman McDaniel was also pretty cool. It was my first time meeting her.
Fun Fact
Until I was old enough to dress myself I was unfortunately made to dress as a California dancing raisin during halloween as a child for three years in a row.
