About Genevieve
Genevieve Collins is an unwavering 7th generation Texan who believes and fights for Texas to be the greatest state in the greatest nation. She leads Americans for Prosperity (AFP) across Texas as well as The LIBRE Initiative and focuses her efforts on empowering every American by fighting for the taxpayer at the state and federal level. Her policy activism work includes healthcare policy, turning patients into shoppers and giving them more control and choice over their care while increasing healthcare access and reducing costs. In education, she focuses on ensuring every child has a high-quality education that allows them to choose the school of their choice. And ensuring that Texas taxpayers get property tax relief while banning taxpayer-funded lobbying.
In 2020, Genevieve was the Republican Congressional Nominee for Dallas County in TX32. She was one of the top candidates in the country and believes that Congress needs more representatives with business sense, common sense, and a sense of urgency. Prior to her congressional run, she spent 12 years in the private sector, building Istation, an education technology company, into one of the largest ed tech companies in the country. She is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee where she was a 3-time NCAA Championship Rower and is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received her MBA. She and her husband, Dwight DeCarme, live by White Rock Lake.
Future Plans
I plan on running for office again and hope to represent Texas in a way that shows that dynamic, positive, young, business executives with policy backgrounds can lead from the front.
How have you benefited from being a member of Maverick PAC or a Future40 recipient?
To be recognized by your peers is unbelievably special. Maverick PAC is the group leading from the front, bringing interesting, positive and new thinkers to the arena. To be thought of as part of Future40, validates my work and lets me feel as though when good things happen, people are watching. I am grateful.
What do you enjoy about Maverick PAC the most?
The PEOPLE! Maverick PAC is full of smart, successful, interesting, solution-oriented people who care about this country. When you find your tribe, you want to stick with them and that’s what maverick PAC promotes. I LOVE IT!
Fun Fact
For most New Years Eve’s, I try to go on adventures, I’ve kayaked through Antarctica, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro and scubaed through cenotes in Mexico. Life is an adventure, why not start the year off with a great one!
