Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, Class of 2019
Why is it important that the members of Maverick PAC remain engaged and involved in politics?
As we saw in New York last year, elections have consequences. Those who are given power by the people have a direct influence over the policies that impact our everyday lives. Now more than ever it’s critically important for our center-right leaders to be involved because they can push back on big government policies, elect commonsense candidates and advocate for policies that preserve our freedoms, promote economic opportunity, and uphold the American Dream for future generations. As a New York City Republican, I know first-hand the terrible consequences of one-party Democrat rule.
In your opinion, what is the future of the conservative movement and how can Maverick PAC members be impactful in that movement?
The Republican Party has had a history of being the party of white men – obviously, that’s no longer the case as evidenced by the increasing number of diverse Republicans running, being elected, and reelected in battleground districts across the country. To keep our momentum, we must support our new messengers and continue to spread the word about the work Republicans are doing to combat inflation, lower energy costs and secure our porous borders. These issues are not exclusive to one age group, race, or party. The more we show the American people our commonsense solutions, we can continue to attract solid candidates that reflect the true makeup of districts across America and implement solutions to the problems Americans are facing.
What are the top five issues Maverick PAC members should watch this year that will impact their industries and lives?
I believe the top five issues House Republicans are actively working to address this year are:
Securing President Biden’s open borders.
Ramping up domestic energy production to increase reliability and lower utility costs for American families.
Reducing government spending and providing middle-class families tangible tax relief to combat rising inflation.
Bringing our supply chains home to reduce our dependence on China for pharmaceuticals and other critical products.
Removing woke prosecutors from office and supporting law enforcement to make our streets safe.

As a member of the House Committee of Foreign Affairs, Malliotakis has been a strong voice for American values overseas, reducing our reliance on China and against the spread of communism in Central and South America. She has stood up for our allies, such as Greece, Cyprus, and Israel against neighboring authoritarian regimes. Malliotakis successfully inserted language into the National Defense Authorization Act requiring more transparency regarding Iran’s nefarious activities on U.S. soil and helped pass a bipartisan amendment establishing congressional oversight on any sale of F-16 fighter jets and military equipment to Turkey.
Now, as a member of the Ways & Means Committee, Malliotakis is focused on providing tax relief to middle class families, reducing the cost of prescription drugs with more transparency and competition, and improving the U.S. economy with pro-growth tax and trade policies.
