Nicholas Primrose - Class of 2022

About Nicholas

Nick is the Chief of Regulatory Compliance for the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), Florida's largest container port and one of the busiest automobile ports in the nation, supporting 138,000 jobs and generating $31 billion in economic impact. Prior to joining JAXPORT, Nick served as Deputy General Counsel for Florida Governors Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott, providing legal advice and counsel. In these roles, Nick defended the laws of the State of Florida in both state and federal court, drafted executive orders for responding to hurricanes and COVID-19, and oversaw the legal departments of various executive branch agencies. In 2021, Governor DeSantis appointed Nick as the Chair of the Florida Elections Commission, a bipartisan commission tasked with enforcing Florida's election code and campaign finance laws.

Nick holds a Juris Doctor from Barry University, a Master of Public Administration from DePaul University, and a B.A. from Lake Forest College. Nick and his wife, Paige, met while campaigning in 2018 and they live in St. Augustine, Florida with their golden retriever, Hudson.

Future Plans

In addition to continuing to ensure strong economic growth in Jacksonville, I'm running for the Florida State House, District 18 (Northern St. Johns County) to represent my community and ensure Florida continues to be a place where you can raise your family, communities are safe, business can thrive, and generations to come can enjoy the natural beauty that makes Florida unique.

Why MavPAC?

Everyone is mission-focused on creating positive change through conservative principles. We all might have different backgrounds or life experiences, but each member wants to see a society where everyone has the potential to live the American dream. It is inspiring to see the number of individuals who are committed to the mission. It is an elevated group of individuals that push you to do more, be more impactive, and inspire more individuals.

What is special about Future40?

Being a Future40 honoree and member of Maverick PAC has connected me with like-minded young leaders in both Florida and across the country who all want to make an impact. Some of the fellow Future40 honorees were people I knew of, but never had the opportunity to develop a friendship or connection--MavPac changed that. Additionally, it has brought a new perspective and opportunity to learn about current issues and solutions to pressing problems that I would not have had, hearing from members of Congress and industry experts. This provides a great opportunity to intelligently understand an issue and be an active participant in positive growth and change in society. Being part of Maverick PAC is an incredible honor and joy, an organization I'm proud to tell individuals that I'm part of.
