Eric is a California native and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Management, Global Supply Chain emphasis. After graduation, he commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force, where he served as an acquisition program manager for five years. In this role, he sought to strengthen U.S. ties with NATO allies through cooperative acquisition programs on both airborne and information technology platforms.  

Eric is a 2022 graduate of Harvard Business School and currently serves as an instructor and United States Space Force officer at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Also active in his community, Eric is a youth leader and Sunday School teacher for his local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has been happily married for over nine years to Ariana Fonnesbeck. They have two children, Emilia (3) and Otto (1).
