Diego Zambrano

Diego Zambrano is the Manager of Federal Government Affairs for the United States at Philip Morris International (PMI). In this role, he utilizes his experience and expertise to advocate for the company’s top priorities, effectively engaging with government bodies to advance PMI’s interests. Before joining PMI, he played a crucial role in promoting opportunities in Congress as part of House Republican leadership’s vision for the the Office of Diversity and Inclusion under the Committee on House Administration. As Deputy Director and Vice President of Programs at the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI), Diego advanced diversity of thought within the Hispanic community. He helped over 100 Latino students secure internships in congressional offices, providing them with invaluable opportunities to experience and contribute to the legislative process. Diego's public service journey began in his hometown of Miami, where he served as Director of Outreach for retired U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the first Hispanic woman elected to Congress. In this role, he spearheaded her engagement efforts and gained a deep understanding of the legislative process and community interaction. Prior to that, Diego served as a Diplomatic Mission Aide at the Colombian Consulate in Miami, assisting Colombian nationals in maintaining their connection to their homeland. Diego holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Miami. As a committed Republican, Diego's work reflects his dedication to conservative principles and the betterment of the Hispanic community through effective public policy and corporate engagement.
