Caroline Melear

Caroline Melear is a finance and public policy professional working as a Resident Fellow in Finance, Insurance, and Trade at R Street Institute, a free market public policy think tank. She is an op-ed Columnist for The Conservateur, a conservative publication for young women, and a Contributor for The Daily Caller. She previously served as the President of the Palm Beach County Young Republicans and on the Board of the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee, roles which allowed her appearances on The Today Show, Breitbart News Radio, and local television. Caroline passed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam on her first attempt and plans to sit for Level 2 next June to continue broadening her knowledge of the relationship between public policy and finance.
She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Political Science and minors in Spanish and Computer Science. While there she served as the President of the Student Senate, a member of College Leadership Florida Class XIII, and a founding member of the FSU Student Foundation. She received the Outstanding Woman Leader Award and Senate Ethics Award and spent a semester interning in the Florida Governor’s Office of Adoption and Child Protection.
She is an RYT-200 certified yoga teacher and enjoys family time with her husband and young son and their dog, Penny.
