Andrés Malavé serves as Communications Director to the Speaker of Florida House and has the distinct honor of serving in the Speaker’s Office as the first Hispanic Communication Director. Before joining the Speaker's office, Andrés was Communication Director of the Florida House Republican Campaign Committee and helped deliver the largest Republican supermajority to the Florida House.

Prior to returning to Republican politics, Andrés worked at Americans For Prosperity and Stand Together in Florida and at their headquarters in Arlington, VA in various roles, including leading the Regional Communications team where he worked helped leaders across the country advocate for better health care, fiscal, and educational outcomes. Andrés was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela before moving to Miami with his family. He attended Florida State University. He lives in Tallahassee with his wife Ashley.
