Allen Chesser

North Carolina

Elected in 2022, Allen Chesser serves as State Representative for North Carolina House District 25, which covers most of Nash County. Before his service in the North Carolina General Assembly, Allen was a police officer for the City of Raleigh and the Town of Nags Head. Allen is also a US Army National Guard combat veteran—having served in over 100 combat missions.

During his first term, Allen Chesser has successfully championed several key pieces of legislation into law, including the Pistol Purchase Permit Repeal, the Right To Try Individualized Treatments, Ignition Interlock Reform, and the Loving Homes Act—a foster care reform bill that increases access to homes for children and ensures North Carolina is the best state to be born in.

With the motto "Good policy never punishes innocent people," Allen has sponsored and co-sponsored dozens of bills this session, focusing on bringing all stakeholders together to find sensible solutions. He serves on the following committees: Appropriations, Appropriations - Capital, Health, Insurance, Military and Veterans Affairs, and Oversight and Reform.

A proud husband and father, Allen and his wife operate a Christian-based youth soccer league that serves Nash, Franklin, and Wake Counties.
